The On Call 2000 represents the latest in audio technology for digital in-store announcement messages. Standard audio WAV files are transferred onto a Sound Card and automatically played when inserted into the On Call 2000 player. An optional playlist can be created and copied to the sound card for specific messaging schedules. The playlist allows files to be automatically selected or deselected based on the time of day or date, or activated automatically by the interval timer.

Virtually any number of files may be stored on a single sound card. Sound Cards are currently available in 16 minute, 32 minute and 64 minute sizes, with larger sizes soon available.

A standard PC and Sound Card adaptor is all that is needed to program a Sound Card. Because the Sound Cards are DOS and Windows file compatible, no proprietary software is required. Messages can also be transfered via the Internet with our Internet remote load On Call 2000.

Applications

The On Call 2000 is a message-on-hold player that installs easily into any public address system. Other applications include Telephone On-Hold Messaging, Voice Alarms, Customer Information, Product Displays, and hundreds of other applications. The playlist capability offers endless possibilities. The Sound Card can contain time and/or date sensitive messages that can be automatically activated and de-activated by the playlist command file. Seasonal messages can be programmed years in advance. Messages can automatically change based on the time of day, day of the week, or by date. For example, a message could automatically go from “Good Morning” to “Good Afternoon” to “Good Evening” without any user intervention.

Sound Card

Available in 16 minute (SC-16) 32 minute (SC-32) and 64 minute (SC-64) sizes. Sound cards are an exciting breakthrough technology in non-volatile Flash memory storage. They have quickly become a worldwide standard in data storage for many industrial and consumer devices. Their compact size and large storage capacity have made them the choice for most portable devices. Because they are only 1/16" thick, weigh less than 2 grams, and are extremely rugged, they are suitable for mailing in a standard envelope. Sound cards with even larger storage capacities are continually being developed. The On Call 2000 player is already compatible with most new sizes.
